A place to celebrate

Did you know the Happy Birthday song was written in Louisville? Two sisters, Mildred Jane Hill and Patty Smith Hill, composed the song that has been sung more often and in more places than any other song in the world. The importance of the Hill sisters, however, goes beyond their greatest musical hit. They were influencers in other important ways, most notably in the field of education.

Now the Happy Birthday Circle is partnering with Waterfront Park to build a playground and place for everyone to celebrate birthdays - all in Paty and Mildred’s honor. Be a part of it and join the fun!
